There has been a lot of discussion about fluoride in water and I want to highlight a few key points so that you can better understand your choice and how it impacts your health.
First- If you don’t drink filtered water, then YOU are the filter. And over time that is a problem, because all disease is caused by stress over time.
Second- Ask yourself, is it the best choice to drink fluoridated water if you suffer with low energy. In my opinion the answer is no. There are several reasons why I hold this opinion. Fluoride can negatively impact thyroid hormones. There is data linking increased levels of fluoride with decreases in free T4. So, even if you’re taking your medication, as prescribed, how can you expect to find balance when your water intake may impact your hormones? In fact, one of the first steps you can take to decrease many symptoms, especially related to low energy or hypothyroidism, is to filter your water.
Another important point is, that as fluoride increases in water, IQ decreases, in a 2024 study from China it was calculated that IQ decreases by 5.85 points per one unit increase in fluoride and iodine.
Third, fluoride can negatively affect fertility, especially in men where it can have a negative influence on sperm. Fluoride can also affect maternal thyroid levels, which leaves too many questions unanswered regarding the health of babies.
Thankfully RFK Jr. has been able to shine light on this important topic which not only impacts people who suffer with low energy, but also future generations, like our children.
On the other hand, sadly, there are “news” articles that are publishing counter information. Under the guise of being cautious and balanced, they are saying that fluoridated water can have a negative impact, but many of those studies are from other countries, so we can’t necessarily apply the research here. Seriously, that’s their response, to create a narrative that tries to manipulate your perception of the research’s credibility, making you question your understanding of the topic, rather than engaging in a factual debate about the merit of the research.
Many in the natural healing space: chiropractors, holistic medical doctors, nurses and health advocates have been questioning this for decades. So why are other countries studying this and why do we have a lack of research here? That’s the question we should all be asking. Questions meant to gaslight the discussion, like the news and corporate researchers like to do, are meant to confuse us, not to help us take our health back. In my opinion, if you’re going to do something to everyone, like fluoridate the water, we should have asked the safety questions first. Then, as our technology advances, we should re-evaluate it to make sure it’s still a good choice. Not hide from it.
All of that being said, the most important step you can take right now to decrease symptoms is to ditch the plastic water bottles, filter your drinking water, ice, and cooking water, and begin to nourish your body with water that can help you heal.

Water is Life
Water intake is an essential part of building health. Here are 3 easy Steps to build this habit:
Step 1- Measure
This step is simple, but will require you to pay attention to your water intake. Measure how much water you drink throughout the day. Here are a few tips to help you be successful:
Use the same cup, bottle, or container to drink all of your water.
Take a picture of each serving before you drink your water (also after if you don’t finish it).
Put a rubber band or small piece of tape on smaller containers each time you refill it.
Step 2- Determine how much water you should be drinking
Weigh yourself on a scale.
Take your weight and then divide that number by 2.
This is your first water intake goal.
Examples:
Weight in pounds is 126 lbs. 126/2 = 63 ounces of water. (Divide by 35.2 for liters. 63/35.2 = about 1.8 L)
Weight in kilograms is 75 kg. 75/2 = 37.5 multiply that by 2.2 = about 83 ounces of water (Divide by 35.2 for liters. 83/35.2 = about 2.4 L)
Step 3- Optimize your water intake
Most people find themselves on the low side. If that is the case for you, increase your water intake to your most comfortable level, making sure to measure how much you are drinking. A comfortable level would be drinking enough that you are not having to use the restroom more than 8 -10 times during the day.
If you are still short on your water intake, maintain that new level of water intake for the next week. After a week, increase your water intake by 8 ounces. If you are still short, repeat the process each week until you reach your goal.
If you are at or above your minimum water intake, in most cases… Great job! Be mindful that too much water intake is possible. If you are above 75% of your body weight in ounces you may want to limit your water intake. Of course, if you are sweating, exercising heavily, etc your water intake may need to be higher, but that 75% threshold should keep you well hydrated.
Here is the math for the upper limit:
Weight in pounds is 126 lbs. 126*0.75 = 94.5 ounces of water. (Divide by 35.2 for liters. 63/35.2 = about 2.7 L)
Weight in kilograms is 75 kg. 75/2*0.75 = 56.25 multiply that by 2.2 = about 124 ounces of water (Divide by 35.2 for liters. 83/35.2 = about 3.5 L)
Now, get to drinking!
Water is pure, plain, water. It should not have tea, fruit or vegetables, carbonation, etc. in it. Water is water. Filtered water is ideal, otherwise you are the filter. Many water supplies, although clean of infectious material, do contain “forever chemicals,” pharmaceutical residue, and other contaminants that are best avoided. It is in your interest and the interest of your family to invest in a home filtration system. Plastic water bottles are not ideal, but provide a temporary solution until you are able to buy a filter.
